Position Title: CNC Machine Operator Lathe & CNC Machine Operator Mills and CNC Programmers Position Summary: Utilize in-depth knowledge of precision machining operations and procedures to machine parts and components to ultra-close tolerances (such as ±.0001). Perform duties and responsibilities with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and a focus on quality in a fast paced job shop environment. Utilize a high degree of accuracy and precision in performing work according to instructions and specifications. Receive assignments in the form of routing, oral instructions, marked layouts, blueprints, sketches, and or reference to defective part. Unless otherwise specified, work methods and procedures are determined by the employee, but the work is subject to inspection during process and upon completion for quality and conformity with requirements. Interface as necessary with production employees, supervisors, engineers, management, vendors, and customers to complete assignments. Optimize process robustness, cost, and product quality while performing job duties.Positions available on 2nd Shift. Position Requirements Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Some trade school, ROP or other training or apprentice experience in machining or machine technology is a plus.Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in designated field. Technical and mechanical aptitude, acquired through applied mechanics or in a job/machine shop or contract manufacturing environment is required. Experience precision machining close tolerance metal parts and/or components is required. Experience cutting hard metals such as Inconel, stainless steel, titanium, alloy 188, hastelalloy, is a plus. Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Knowledge: Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and equipment, measurement devices, shop mathematics, basic materials and processes used in machining / manufacturing. Skills: Skilled in reading detailed instructions, communicating effectively, and listening actively. Skilled in reading and accurately interpreting/understanding blueprints, work instructions, and product specifications. Abilities: Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
