SENIOR MANAGERS

Chuck Passarelli – Chief Executive Officer

An accomplished senior executive with more than 30 years of manufacturing and operational experience in the electronics, hydraulics, and metals industries, Chuck joined Veridiam in November 2013 and serves as the company’s CEO.

For seven years prior to joining Veridiam, Chuck served as President of Anderson Copper and Brass Company, a Marmon Group/Berkshire Hathaway company located in the Chicago area. Other previous positions have included Chief Operating Officer and General Manager for two distinct metals manufacturing companies. Chuck also has a great deal of international experience having worked nearly 10 years for a joint venture between Volvo and Atlas Copco, two premier European multi-national companies.

Chuck earned a B.A. in Business Management from DePaul University. In addition, he has training in both Six Sigma and Lean practices and completed the Executive Certificate Program at Darden Graduate School of Business in Virginia and the Swedish Institute of Management in Stockholm, Sweden.

Tiara J. Nelson – Chief Financial Officer

Tiara joined Veridiam in January 2015 as Chief Financial Officer overseeing the accounting, finance and information technology departments. Prior to joining as CFO, she served on the company’s Board of Directors from January 2013 through January 2015.

An accomplished finance professional, Tiara has worked at Equity Group Investments (a privately-held investment firm) evaluating new investment opportunities and taking an active role in managing existing investments. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Rewards Network from December 2010 – February 2014. Prior to joining Equity Group Investments in 2008, Tiara worked in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley where she was involved in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital raising, and other corporate finance transactions for a variety of industries.

Tiara graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Accountancy.

Jonathan Iddings – Vice President Operations, Oceanside

Jonathan joined Veridiam in 2014 as Vice President Operations where he oversees the company’s Oceanside facility. An accomplished manufacturing executive, Jonathan had been with ClearEdge Power in Hillsboro, Oregon where he served as Vice President – Operations. Prior to that experience, he was General Manager at Earl’s Performance Products in Los Angeles, and he worked in a variety of positions with Holley Performance Products across 5 sites.

Jonathan earned an M.B.A. from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Manufacturing Science from Western Kentucky University. In addition, he received a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Patrick Lorenz – Vice President Engineering & Business Development

Pat Lorenz joined Veridiam in August 1993 and has served the company in many capacities including his current responsibilities as Vice President- Business Development. He has been VP- Engineering and Quality, General Manager of the company’s former facility in Poway, CA, Manager- Business Development and Information Technology, Manager- Engineering and Information Technology, and Manager- Engineering during his two decades with the company.

Before joining Veridiam, Pat spent nearly 13 years with General Dynamics, Convair Division in San Diego. He was Operations Chief and Cross Functional Team leader, both on the Advanced Cruise Missile Program, and also served as Group Engineer-Manufacturing Engineering and Senior Engineer Composite Structures Manufacturing Technology.

He earned a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from The Ohio State University. In addition, Mr. Lorenz holds a Six Sigma Black Belt and has completed numerous professional development programs including sales, leadership, strategic planning, facilities management, defense contract management, statistical process control and CAD.

Mary Tucker – Vice President Sales & Marketing

A professional senior sales and marketing executive with more than 25 years’ experience building and leading high performance teams, driving exceptional results. Mary joined Veridiam in June 2016 and leads the company’s sales and marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Veridiam, Mary served as Chief Sales Officer at Calmont Engineering & Electronics, offering custom designed electronic solutions to world-class OEM’s. Other previous positions included leading national and international teams providing solutions with capital equipment, enterprise software and business outsourced services.

Mary earned her B.S. from the University of Kansas.

 

Matthew Carpenter – Director Human Resources

Matthew began his Human Resources career in the Healthcare industry in the Midwest recruiting for a multi-state regional health care organization. Moving to San Diego in 1998, Matthew joined IDEC Pharmaceuticals where he supported the growth of the company in the talent acquisition field through commercialization of two drugs.

In 2006 Matthew joined Samsung’s North American Distribution Center overseeing divisional Human Resources functions for the supply chain group. Prior to joining Veridiam, Matthew spent the last 5 years leading the HR function for Toro Micro Irrigation in San Diego.

Matthew brings a strong talent acquisition profile to his HR experience as well as significant experience in developing and training manufacturing workforces.

Bob Olevson – Director of Quality

Bob graduated from HIU with a BS in management sciences and worked in the field of quality engineering for ten years at Oakley in Foothills Ranch, CA prior to moving into a QA management role. Most recently Bob served as a Regional Manager for Quality Assurance at Element Materials Technology in Huntington Beach where he oversaw materials testing for customers in the Aerospace, Commercial and Bio-Medical industries.

Bob brings experience and a proven track record quality systems deployment in high technology manufacturing operations which will be invaluable in meeting our quality goals and objectives.

Robert Van Dyke – Director of Operations, El Cajon

Rob graduated with his MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University. His undergraduate degree is in computer science. Rob spent twenty years with REMEC Inc, a local San Diego electronics manufacturer as the Director of Operations and Engineering. More recently Rob served as the Vice President of Business Development at Cirtek (ATS) just prior to joining Veridiam.

Rob brings experience and a proven track record of success in the manufacturing operations area which will be invaluable in meeting our departmental goals and objectives.
